Check a draft for tone and clarity
Wrote something important and not sure how it will land? Copilot in Word can give you feedback, suggest clearer wording and adjust the tone for your audience, while you stay in control of every change.
App Microsoft Word
Time 5 to 15 minutes
Level Beginner
Before you start
A Copilot license
You need a Copilot license, and you need to be signed in to Word with the account that has it.
A draft to work on
Open the document in Word. It can be a letter, report, policy, announcement or anything else you have written.
Your audience in mind
Know who will read it and how you want them to feel. "Reassuring for parents" gets better results than "make it better."

Tip: ask for feedback before rewrites
Ask Copilot what is unclear or missing first, then decide what to change. You learn more about your own writing, and your voice stays yours instead of sounding like everyone else's.
Prompts to try
Copy a prompt into Copilot. Replace anything in brackets with your own details.
